Dog/Cat Cancer Treatment Options

There are 3 most common forms of treatment for cancer in dogs:

Surgery, Chemotherapy & Radiation Therapy

The course of your dog’s/cat’s cancer treatment will be determined by your veterinarian or veterinary oncologist and will depend on the type of cancer as well as other factors specific to your dog. Your vet may recommend chemotherapy, radiation or surgery, or a combination of these dog/cat cancer treatments.

If symptoms relating to chemotherapy or radiation therapy cannot be treated with supplementary medicine, your veterinarian or veterinary oncologist may recommend discontinuing treatment.  That means they are out of options regardless of how much money you want to spend. They have no other options, period.
