I own a plethora of digital libraries (some very expensive ones at that) from different companies. However, this library of strings, along with Cello One, are the most impressive I have found. The playability at the different keystroke speeds is incredibly responsive. It is as if you are able to play the instrument like a real musician would. The volume of these sample recordings is magnificent. The sounds are crisp and clear. 5 Stars for quality, sound, responsiveness, volume, and playability.

Thank You, Insanity Samples, for the right-out-of-the-box Velocity mapping grid. The setup is slick. No tedious CC remapping and just fun to play on the keys, even for pianistic punk like me. Can't wait to try this cello with MIDI Guitar and wind controller. This newly-added feature made my purchase of the Bombay Glassware 2 v2 an immediate no-brainer. Add it to everything!

The possibilities that the VST offers are many and the sound is very realistic.
I like it a lot.

Cello One before and after the update were already nice instruments. This Volume 2 has everything that we could wish for. It sounds so real, even with no reverb on It is totatly plug and play or load and play. All settings are so intuitive. I also like the interface, simple and beautiful. For me it is a new standard. I will spend time play it. If only it made coffee too ...

I'm very happy with my initial experiences using Cello One Vol2. It sounds really great, and you don't have to spend hours understanding key changes and programming stuff. Definitely worth it.

OK - so I was impressed with the reviews and the videos here on this site. I do have other Cello libraries (Cremona, for example) - but this one is the most expressive by far. You just cannot go wrong with it and don't need to spend hours working with key-switches. A generally satisfying instrument to work with as it seems to just sort of work out of the box. Although there are no non-vib samples, the baked in vibrato seems very usable and the overall tone is appealingly familiar. Pitch bend is surprisingly convincing - almost as though it triggers portamento samples.

I love the expressiveness of this cello. I have to learn more about using the various articulations, and it will be quite useful in my music production.

This library has become my go-to library to replace or layer my old solo cello library featuring Hans Zimmer’s go-to cellist 😁

Not that the old library sounds bad, but i just need to refresh my ear with new sounds to stay inspired in my line of work. And this library does the job very very well!

I think I may have a 5 star review of the original Cello ONE in the past. This next iteration of the instrument brings it to an entirely new quality level. The sound is very close to the original’s tone (same room, same player I guess), but the larger number of articulations and the smart UI for overlays makes this volume 2 an even cooler instrument. It doesn’t come with any and all articulations under the sun - but look how affordable this is. This and the Beatnik Fiddle are among my favourite Insanity Samples instruments.
